Booking either a cabin or recliner seat is mandatory on overnight Caen or St Malo crossings. To save on fares, avoid needing a cabin by using midday or morning departures to/from these ports

The night crossing to Caen is 6 hours which gives only 4.5 hours sleep between nightcap and breakfast. Is a cabin worth it? Why not save money with just a recliner seat at £ 5.00 instead of cabin - there are good clean showers and toilets available too.
